The Gnome Expedition is no ordinary half-camp. It is an unforgettable holiday adventure full of imagination, fun surrounded by nature, creative activities and daily discoveries that will excite every child and awaken their curiosity about the world.
Children are invited to an extraordinary half-camp inspired by the book ‘Gnomes’ by Will Huygen! Surrounded by nature, we will play the role of the truest gnomes. We will solve puzzles and develop gnomish skills, and at the end of the half-day we will learn a real gnome mystery – what is it? Only true explorers will find out!
What do we propose?
- Daily story reading – each day we will immerse ourselves in the magical world of gnomes, learning about their habits and wisdom contained in the book ‘Gnomes’ by Will Huygen.
- Outdoor movement games – among the trees and meadows we will, like the gnomes, develop physical fitness through cooperative games, jumps and agility challenges.
- Nature activities in the field – we will learn to recognise plants, discover forest secrets and find out how nature supports gnome life.
- Working with wood – following in the footsteps of gnomes – virtuoso woodworkers – we will try our hand at working with wood. We will build gnome houses and simple toys developing imagination and manual skills.
- Working with clay – pottery is one of the traditional gnome crafts. To discover the mystery of gnomes we will learn the secrets of working with clay and create unique, nature-inspired works, which we will take away as a souvenir of the gnomes’ expedition.
