Frequently asked questions

Where does the name Campus Bemke come from?

We were inspired by Father Leon Bemke – a Pallottine priest, former student and later director of Collegium Marianum in Kopiec, chaplain to Polish soldiers at Westerplatte in 1939, pastor to the Polish diaspora in France, Rome and the USA, a courageous man devoted to serving others, and an educator.

What does the Bemke Campus Foundation do?

Campus Bemke is not only a school and kindergarten, but also a place with nationwide influence. As part of our extracurricular activities, we run educational and development programmes for young people from all over the country, develop the FarmLab ecological project, and work to build and strengthen the community around the Campus.

Educational and development programmes

These are original programmes focused on supporting the development of children and young people from all over Poland. We accompany them at important moments in their lives, inspiring them to get involved and supporting them in achieving their goals and dreams.

The green FarmLab project

Care for the natural environment and responsibility for the resources entrusted to us are among the most important values of our project. The enormous potential of the Campus space – 23 hectares, 12 of which are agricultural land – provides a basis for the development of educational projects and the search for innovative solutions in the field of agriculture.

As part of the FarmLab ecological project, which is unique in Poland, we combine the food production process with school and preschool education.

Building community

We care about building relationships, trust and a positive atmosphere around the Campus. We create spaces and programmes where members of local communities can meet, develop relationships, serve one another, learn cooperation and effective action. We collaborate with national and international organisations, strengthening the recognition of Campus Bemke in communities working in similar areas: education, community building and ecology. We also support the development and activities of local initiatives.

How was the Bemke Campus Foundation established?

The dream of a place offering the best education and a friendly space for development and inspiration was the beginning of Campus Bemke. In 2020, the TDJ Foundation, which supports the education of children and young people, began working with the Polish Pallottines from Klecza Dolna. After two years of preparation, The Campus Bemke Foundation began its activities in September 2022. The project, based on cooperation with the local community, has since been involved in the development of the donated land and educational activities.

Who is responsible for managing the foundation?

The president of the foundation with the directors. The entire team can be found here: our team.

What values guide the foundation's activities?

The Foundation is guided by values that focus on building meaningful relationships and trust within the community. We place great importance on developing competencies, communication skills, and strengthening a sense of purpose and agency. The Foundation supports the discovery and utilisation of each person’s potential so that they can make decisions freely and responsibly, with others in mind.

Just as important as learning is shaping a child’s character and strengthening their personality. We want to support the development of traits that will help our students set and achieve their goals, build healthy relationships with people, take on challenges and boldly influence reality.

The foundation’s activities also include caring for the ecosystem by educating children about sustainable food production and environmental protection.

We teach openness, respect and attentiveness to the needs of others, and offer cooperation in social projects, including with seniors.

How does the foundation use donations?

For statutory purposes, infrastructure development, foundation activities, development of educational programmes and facilities.

Is Bemke School right for everyone?

Yes, it is public and free of charge. The nursery school is private and fee-paying.

What is an Educational Village?

The Educational Village is a modern school complex on the Bemke Campus designed in a layout resembling a village. The project combines functionality with harmonious integration into the local landscape and terrain. Thanks to its modern infrastructure and amenities, it promotes the comprehensive development of students and supports the work of teachers.

The Educational Village includes modern teaching buildings equipped with classrooms with innovative tools, as well as specialised workshops, such as:

  • Laboratories with a total area of 840 m²,
  • MakerSpace – a workshop with a prototyping room, a modelling room, an electronics/IT room and a carpentry room,
  • An art, sewing and photography workshop,
  • Chemistry and physics laboratories,
  • A design room.

The Educational Village offers students a space to acquire theoretical knowledge, develop skills and talents, and put their knowledge into practice. At the same time, it provides teachers with comfortable conditions for work, cooperation and rest. It is a place that integrates modernity with tradition, creating a friendly educational environment for the school community and, by opening up the space to local initiatives, also for the residents of the region.

What can I participate in?

The Campus offer is aimed at different age groups. For the youngest, in addition to school and kindergarten, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, holiday trips and day camps.

Young people can get involved in volunteering, create a youth club and take advantage of educational and development programmes.

For adults, we organise workshops and training courses on various topics – from personal development, entrepreneurship and gardening to lectures on family relationships and raising children.

Seniors can take part in Memory Training sessions, a project that promotes mental fitness and builds relationships with older people.

You can also join our regular events and picnics or come for a delicious Sunday lunch.
