November was an exceptionally busy month for our Volunteer Centre. Volunteers supported local initiatives to build community and care for the oldest members of our community.
Senior Citizens’ Day at OSP Klecza Dolna
On November 3rd we had the pleasure of participating in the Senior Citizens’ Day, which brought together around 120 people. 11 volunteers from the Volunteer Centre actively supported the event, helping to serve food, taking care of the order, but above all – spending time with the seniors. The meeting was spent talking and enjoying music together.
We would like to thank KGW Zarąbianki for organising this event, which provided a space for integration and relationship building. Such initiatives remind us how important it is to support and activate seniors in our community.
Memory Training – first meeting
On 14 November, we inaugurated the “Memory Training” series on Campus, aimed at senior citizens. The first meeting attracted around 40 participants, who spent the afternoon singing, talking and doing memory-stimulating exercises together. The atmosphere full of laughter and positive emotions confirmed that such initiatives are needed.
We would like to thank our volunteers for preparing this event and all the participants for their active participation. We are already looking forward to the next meetings, which are an opportunity for us to build relationships and strengthen intergenerational dialogue.
We invite you to follow us on social media to keep up to date with future events.
